As you may have noticed, we're trying to minimize our use of plastic packaging, so here are a few tips to help you enjoy your vegetables even longer! We suggest keeping a few bread bags, for example, to store vegetables you want to keep longer in the fridge!

Outside the fridge:
Fresh herbs will keep better outside the fridge; keep them in water. Fill a mason jar halfway with water and arrange your herbs inside like a bouquet of flowers. Keep them out of direct sunlight, and for extra freshness, you can cover them with a plastic bag. This is a great tip, especially for basil, which turns brown in the cold and when exposed to water! If you have too many herbs, hang them upside down to dry for later use.
Tomatoes don't like the cold very much; they'll last longer and keep their delicious taste better on your countertop!
Pumpkins prefer a cool place away from light (but that's not for right now).

In the fridge:
Most of our vegetables prefer to be kept very cold, in the vegetable drawers at the bottom of the fridge.
Leafy vegetables; lettuce, spinach, chard, kale , stay fresher in a half-open plastic bag left on the shelves.
Carrots, radishes, broccoli, turnips, beets, and spring onions go in the bottom bins; remove the leaves before putting them in a plastic bag!
Courgettes, cucumbers, and peppers will thrive in the meat drawer, where it's a bit warmer. No need to wrap them!
No need to worry about cabbage , no packaging, straight to the fridge, it can withstand anything!
