Arikara Sunflower
This sunflower originates from the Sahnish (or Arikara) people who farm the land in North Dakota. These sunflowers grow very tall and bear either a single large head or several smaller ones. The flowers are a bright yellow and attract a multitude of pollinating insects.
The seeds are delicious and rich in protein. Their color varies between white, black, or striped white and black.
