Green Arrow Shelling Peas
Delicious shelling peas from our heritage range. They can be eaten fresh, frozen, or cooked. The pods produce between 8 and 11 peas.
Opening the pods to enjoy the sweet and juicy peas is a magical moment in the summer.
Harvest when the pods are round and plump . If the pods remain on the plant for too long, the peas will become fibrous and mushy.
The plants reach 70 cm in height.
Outdoor sowing: Sow directly in the ground in spring. 1 cm deep. 6 cm between seeds. Peas can be sown early in the season, as soon as the risk of frost has passed. They are quite cold-hardy.
Germination: 7 days. Temperature above 10 ° C.
Specifications: The plants are not climbing, but can benefit from a trellis to prevent the peas from trailing on the ground.

Watering: In hot weather, frequent watering helps peas stay sweet.

Origin of the seed: We obtained the first seeds of this product at West Coast Seeds. The seeds sold are the second generation grown on the farm.
