Mirlo Boston Lettuce
This Boston lettuce produces a large, very dense head. The leaves are tender and a beautiful light green with the typical creamy Boston lettuce flavor. We value it for its disease resistance.
Ideal for spring and summer.
Harvest: Harvest when the core forms a dense apple.
Outdoor sowing: Sow directly in the ground early in the season, as soon as the risk of frost has passed. Sow 5mm deep. Place 2 seeds 20cm apart, thinning out one of the seedlings if both grow. This plant prefers milder temperatures, which delay bolting (going to seed).
Indoor sowing: Sow 3-4 weeks before transplanting outdoors.
Germination: 5 to 7 days. Temperature above 20 ° C.
Exposure: Full sun or partial shade.
Maturity: 55 days.
Origin of the seed: We obtained the first seeds This lettuce is available at Johnny's Selected Seeds. The seeds sold are the first generation grown on the farm.
